Body After Baby–week 2

Here we are at week 2 of Body After Baby. I am very excited to have a blog hop to help focus me on those baby pounds.

So how did I do?  Well I worked out every day but Saturday.  I did a mix of treadmill running and intervals, some recumbant bike riding and my Biggest Loser 10 minute work out video.

I am thrilled with how much I worked out.  This is the most since the summer after I graduated from high school.  It paid off then, hopefully it will now.

My hubby even worked out with me yesterday.  I want us to work together to teach our girls the fun and value of exercise.  I want them to grow up with it just part of their normal every day activities.  I actually found a kids Wii Fit game from Nickelodeon for their Christmas gift.  I am so excited!

Caitlyn worked out with me Monday afternoon.  I did 10 minutes on the treadmill, before getting interrupted, then did a 10 minute Biggest Loser cardio workout.  That is stinkin’ hard!  Wowzers.  Friday after I did the work out, I then tried to run outside.  I made it about 1/4 of my normal run.  My legs were just killing me!

Sue wanted to head back down to the work out area Monday night.  It has been named “Our Gym” by her.  I like that.  For some reason I think referring to it as “Our Gym” will make me get down there more.

So what are you doing in “Your Gym”?  What exercise equipment do you have?  Do you use it?  Have you successfully gotten fit?  Are you satisfied with where you are now?  I would love to hear about it.

Now head on over to Mama Notes to see how others did with the challenge.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Good to see you got lots of exercise done. I didn't do so well, but it was a crazy week. This week should be better.

  2. Wow! You did really good. 🙂
I dont have a gym. I just workout to shows on the tv. I want to get an eliptical or tread climber though

  3. My gym?
A Wii with a few games, resistance bands for my P90X, a kettlebell and the kettleworx dvds.

My kids like to work out with me 🙂
Usually we will play a Wii game or do some yoga.

My 5 year old tried P90X one day. It was so cute.

  4. Good job! My gym's an actual gym. 🙂 I've tried to workout at home but it just doesn't work for me. Great christmas find btw. I think it's important to exercise with your children early on even if it's just getting outside an throwing a football.

  5. I've been going to the Y, but I also have some Biggest Loser DVDs I can use at home if I need to. In fact, maybe I'll do that today since the kids are too sick to take to the Y. Keep up the hard work!

  6. You did great! I just purchased a used treadmill for $50 but I've only used it once. I need to make time and do it!

  7. Tutus N' Trucks

You did super good! I totally slacked this week! Keep up the good work, you guys all motivate me so much =)

  8. that's awesome! you did great!

    • Oh this is me all over! So much so that your tip for bringing a fnried makes it worse for me because I don’t want them to see what a dork I am! My old gym was great because mostly seniors went there. I had to change though and now I’ve only gone to the new one once. Even at home I’m embarrassed if my kids walk in (maybe cuz their teenagers). I think I need a cave to work out in. I’m giving some comment love from SITS tonight. I’m going to follow your blog too.

  9. My gym consists of the wii and P90X workouts. So far it's going pretty well and I am not getting bored.

  10. I just joined a gym last week and so far have done their Zumba class, treadmill, and eliptical. I really love Zumba!

  11. Brandon and Jenny

Good for you! I am so proud of you for working out so much and I don't even really know you! lol! You are motivating me. I bet your body will start to crave that exercise if you don't get to do it! Keep at it…I know it will pay off.

  12. Fitted kitchen

I've tried to workout at home but it doesn't work for me. Great christmas find btw. I think it is vital to exercise along along with your kids early on even if it is getting outside an throwing a footy.
