Sometimes You Feel Like a Nut

Sometimes you feel like a nut…sometimes  you don’t.  And if you don’t, our house is not the place to be.

Our house is delightfully full of little girl antics.  Caitlyn is saving Sue.  Not sure from what.  Caitlyn is Miss Aurora (Sleeping Beauty).  Sue is Snow White.  They are running around having a lot of fun.

Patrice is sleeping.  She is definitely a third child.  She can sleep anywhere.  She sleeps at kid eating establishments.  She sleeps in this nut house.

Right now Caitlyn is pretending to snore.  Her pretend, loud snore, is quieter than daddy’s real snore.  Yes, I’m saying he snores loud.

Caitlyn is wearing a baby doll pack and play on her head.  It’s all the rage in high fashion.  I’m sure.

Sue is singing about going to the zoo.  “I’m so excited, we’re going to the zoo, zoo, zoo.”  No, no we’re not.  It is a high of 30 degrees tomorrow.

Ahhh, the fun is done.  The girls were playing rough and almost fell on Patrice.  Daddy says it is time for a cupcake, to read and book and go to bed.  Caitlyn has decided to remember at this moment that daddy said she could have macaroni and cheese for dinner.  Never mind she already had a sandwhich for dinner.  Daddy said that was just a snack.  And she has decided to remember that right now.  Is she hungry?  No.  But she loves to stall when it comes to bedtime.  So the water is on to boil and Caitlyn waits while Sue chows down on a spaghetti and meatballs cupcake.  Sue has her priorities.  Junk food is always at the top of her list.

Naptime, Patrice style

What is going on at your house?  I hope you are having a great evening!

  1. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your world… so busy. I remember those days, my kids are now all teenagers, 16, 15 and 13. Tonight is a quiet night at home… my daughter is at a dance and sleeping over a friends. My oldest son just got his drivers license today. He and my second son are just hanging out at home and my husband and I are pondering what take-out to pick up. I found you through Chasing Joy #FBF.

  2. Love that photo of Patrice snoozing! What a wonderful portrait you have painted of a day in the life at your house.

Over here, my hubby is making German food for dinner while my step-daughter practices piano (using the same books I learned from as a kid – so glad I kept them all these years!)

Hope you’re able to sleep through Daddy’s real snores tonight – lol!
    p.s. I dropped by from Chasing Joy’s #FBF.
