So, Tuesday is weigh in day round these parts. And today I got a great number–1.2 lbs lost for a total of 15.4 lbs gone. Wooohoooo!!!!
Next week’s weigh in is going to be different than any other time I’ve been trying to lose weight for the last 6 years…I will no longer be nursing a baby. I know that decreases my weight watchers points, but other than that…
Some say it will speed up my loss, some say it will slow it down. I don’t know. I really don’t. Come back next week to see what happens!

Yay!!! I’m so proud of you my friend! You’re doing great! I will be interested to see what a difference the nursing makes. But I am sure you will still lose weight. Keep up the good work! I’m so glad you’re a part of our WLWed community!
Wow…good for you!
I don’t remember how it affected me when I stopped nursing…of course I am sure it affects everyone differently!
keep up the good work. I know I have seen changes as my nursing has decreased. My 22mos old is only nursing at bedtime now and the lovely perks that come with nursing a newborn are long gone. I gotta do all the work on my own now!
For me, nursing helped tremendously with my weightloss. With both babies, I was at or below my pre-pregnancy weight within a few months. It was amazing. A few months before I completely stopped nursing my younger son (at 20 months), is when my eating started getting more out of control. At that time though, the fact that I was nursing was helping me out more than I realized. After I stopped nursing and kept my same binging, out of control eating habits, I gained 50 pounds in just 5 months! Now it’s a year later and I’m still fighting that same battle. All this to say, it’s awesome that you have already started to eath healthy before you stopped nursing. I wish I had done the same, but hindsight is 20/20, and I know if I ever get this issue beat, the victory is going to be so sweet.
