When the Mitten is Unseasonably Warm

I don’t normally post twice in one day…but hey, since the post I did earlier is probably a repeat and it is my blog…

This winter has been so mild here in the mitten and just odd.  Tuesday it was 21 degrees, Friday it was 55 degrees!

Today was 40+, so what do Michiganders do when it is warm…get outside!!!

we took the tree to the park for recycling

Then Caitlyn got in some fun (don’t tell Sue who slept through it all)

Torn, Which Blog Hop to Do?

You all know how much I love

This lovely lady and her great blog hop were a lifeline when I was searching for reasons to hang on during the depths of postpartum depression and anxiety.  It is now my privilege and honor to pray for her family as they walk an extrememly hard journey of brain cancer with their eldest son.  Every week I think of pictures I can post, even when Ali is, understandably, unable to post.

And this week I actually wanted to post one from LAST Thanksgiving that popped up on our computer earlier this week.  Tpo bad I can’t find it…sigh.  I will find it and I will post it, I promise…

Here are some sweet ones…

And then I stumbled upon this blog and her fun hop.  I love the idea of linking up some of my posts that got overlooked….

Saturday Snapshots

It is Saturday, very early Saturday, but it is still Saturday. I have been up messing with photos.  I had a groupon that expires, well, today and a coupon code for photo posters, that I got from this fab blog, that expires Sunday, so that meant I had to get them USED!  I am absolutely exhausted, but thought I might as well continue with pictures.  Here are some of Patrice playing her first musical instrument!

Did you see the great pumpkin?

I’m telling you he’s there…

Did you see him?

THERE HE IS!!!!!

Today.  Today is good.  Today is better than I ever dreamed life would be.  A year ago life was harder than I ever thought it could be. A year ago today I went to my midwife and asked her to take my kids home and love them.  Because I didn’t?  No way.  Because I loved them so much but could not figure out how to be mommy to them.  My anxiety was so high.  She let me cry and got me help. A year ago today I spent 24 hours in mental health institution.  It was hard, really hard.  And I can’t really tell you that story today.  I can’t go there today.  But know today is so sweet.  Especially since today, a year ago, was so hard.  Please know if you are dealing with a postpartum mood disorder, there is help, there is hope.  It won’t be an easy journey, but it is worth EVERY.SINGLE.MOMENT of the hard.  If you are walking the hard, please check out my page of postpartum resources, read my posts under depression, contact me on twitter at @signingcharity.  Reach out.  You’ll be glad you did.

You Know that Moment You Realize You’re In Trouble???

Daddy dressed me.  I fed me!

Yeah, here it is!  We are in big trouble.  She won’t let go to walk, but I’m sure some time today she will figure out how to get on this chair, and from there the table…

Jump, Jump Fun

We had a great time at a birthday party last week.  It was at Bounce U.
Caitlyn was extremely outgoing and played with the other kids though most of them were several years older than her.  Sue was a little more cautious and chose to bounce alone quite a bit.  I think the weight of having the others bouncing around her was unsettling.  She is only 26 lbs at almost 4 years old.  Caitlyn, by about 45 minutes into it, said she was tired…I say that’s not a bad thing!
