Sue is turning on the charm, which is keeping her out of bed for the moment. She is just soooooo cute. Those tired eyes are adorable. I should stop blogging and get her to bed. But honestly, she is so cute, It is nice every once in awhile to have just one of them up. The girls are just different one-on-one.
Our two older girls are only 15 months apart, so they like the same toys. They do a pretty good job of playing together, but sometimes there are mini wars. Today they had a grand old battle. Sue wanted to play the piano, at my in-laws, by herself. And she decided to try and take out Caitlyn. Basically, a cat fight. But since they are little girls, maybe it is a kitten fight, huh? (Btw, if you are concerned, Sue is now fast asleep) Anyway, Sue really went after Caitlyn. And she just sat there and took it, yelling for me. I told her to get away from Sue, and then I took care of the consequences with Sue. The glories of motherhood.
Anyway, that was a fair amount of digression (is that a word?). All I intended to say was, sometimes it is nice to have them awake at different times. It gives us one-on-one time with them and them one-on-one time with the toys. Sue has occassionally stayed awake after Caitlyn went to bed for the night. Sometimes, when she was a baby, it seemed intentional that she was keeping herself up to have some uninterrupted play time.
Watching how cute Sue is and thinking of other times when I have had just Caitlyn with me, I wonder if we should do kid dates, where one parent takes out just one of the girls. It seems like it might be fun. Have you done anything like that? What type of activities are good to do with a 3 year old or 4 year old?
